our story
The story of Aganta
Murat Toprak, a marine and mechanical engineer, graduated from ADMMA – Ankara Engineering University in 1979. He also obtained a diploma from the Merchant Marine Academy in 1980. His career has been primarily focused on commercial vessels, with a particular emphasis on VLCC crude oil carriers between 1980 and 1984. In 1985/86, he briefly served as the Chief Engineer of the Central Machinery & Workshop at Baytur Construction in Libya. Returning to Turkey, he established Aganta Yacht Engineering Services in 1986 at Erol Ağan Boatyard, which he managed until his retirement in 2002, passing the business to Osman Yigit.
In 1987, Network Yacht Brokerage was established by Murat’s former partner, Gavin David, who brought him into the business as a partner in 1990.
Gavin left Turkey in 1991. Now the company is running as Aganta Yacht Brokerage by Murat & Can & Alara Toprak.

Studied mechanical engineering, Murat worked at sea for 6 years. Afterwards, he established Aganta Maintenance firm followed by Network Yacht Brokerage. Now, he is the founder and manager of Aganta Yacht Brokerage.

Can stayed in Italy with in touch with an Italian brokerage agency. He studied Yacht Management & Operations and became a captain and manager of a Monte Carlo 75. After 3 years, he joined the family business and now is a partner.
